One question in the interview was what objects do u use in a rainy day?
He told me all that he cud think of including umbrella, raincoat, gumboots….and then he added ..” teacher u can use newspaper also if you don’t have anything else !”
I knew I don’t have to worry.
So on the parents’ interview day , my hubby and I waited for one hour for our turn with butterflies in my tummy!…
Mrs. Mathew, the director of St Mary’s was smiling and looking through her spectacles. She asked me, “So you are Shourya’s Parents?” And we replied “Yes”. Not forgetting any of our etiquettes, we pulled the chair to sit down.
Mrs. Mathew who was beaming said with a lovely smile ….” Oh your son has done very well, he is brilliant child!
Then she asked where my younger son goes. I told her as of now a playschool called Kidder Brook, but will be here after one year to join his brother in St Mary’s.
Hoping to see any change in expression or an answer to counter my far fetched thoughts, I looked into her eyes. (I have this habit of looking straight into person’s eyes so deep that I am able to read even the pictures the brain is forming!) She just smiled. And we waited for a few minutes more, but no questions! So I finally asked her if we cud leave.
She told us yes!
And then after a week we logged into the school site to check if he is selected.
Hurrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!
He’s done it!
We have done it pals!
And guess what the fee including admission fee is only Rs 8800/- for 6 months.
From all that Rs 50000 to Rs 90000 admission fee, to Rs 2000–Rs 5000 monthly tuition fee, the fee here seemed to relaxing!

Madhurie, Do you have any feedback about vivero international.
Hi Navina,
I have only one feedback that it’s pretty steep in their fee, which they justify too with various facilities but I am not too sure of the rest. I still have not been able to go there as my kid’s half yearly exams are going on till 14th Oct 09.
But do not worry I will provide you with the best information after 14th Oct.
Regards
Madhurie
Madhurie,
Any idea about vivero international at Kalyani nagar?
Hi Madhurie,
Congrats!!! its great to know that both your sons have got admissions in the best schools in pune.
Introducing myself briefly, I am working with suzlon. I have a daughter who is 1 1/2 year old, i leave her at Innovations day care in koregaon park. Its one of my dreams that my daughter gets admission in St. Mary’s school.
Does St. Mary’s have playschool? Or are there any playschools that are linked with St. Mary’s?
Could you give me a brief idea about kidder brook nursery, do they mould the child are per the requirements of St. Mary’s School.
Hi Madhurie,
I’ll be moving to Pune in the month of May 09. Need to admit my daughters in grades 1 and 5. They are presently in an IB board school. Do you have any suggestions for me? I really like St. Mary’s school, but am wondering if they will admit them this time of the year. I guess the former principal of the school passed away and I could not get in touch with anyone in the school. I am open to suggestions about other schools. you could also email me at nailarazvi@in.com
Your suggestions and inputs will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
HI Nailarazvi,

Well, all I would say is welcome to Pune
From IB to IB it would be excellent move, so why not try that?
Yes ST Mary’s is an excellent school. You can try though I am aware of admissions are done for the coming academic year 2009-2010.
Transfer cases do get preference over local candidates but provided there are seats for your girls.
In any case you could write to them and call them. They are professionals and will deal with your request earnestly.
Also I would suggest since a few schools are still open for admissions , you should try there before they too shut down their admissions window
Vibgyor High is IB too, Lexicon, SHarad Pawar International are a few to name.
There are a few all girls too which will be by now done with their admissions.
Good Luck !
Thanks Rajeshwari
for the compliments !
Well yes I am lucky for sure with both kids getting thru gud schools.
No, St Mary’s does not have any day care, as far as my knowledge goes
And I think Innovations is also a good school with latest methodologies and tools being used, when I had visited it last !
Primerose is a good school for sure, where nearly all kids get thru St Mary’s. For admission of your daughter you must try for Nursery in St Mary’s in Nov /Dec when she is old enough.
Kider Brook is also good but here you have to tell the teachers ur requirement before-hand. Also Kider Brook has a day care too, which is a boon for working moms. Its safe and very friendly environment for kids. My toddlers have played n learned there when they were just 1.5 yrs young, till 4 yrs of age. Hygeine is a little concern there, but unfortunately, all day cares are the same. I have tried, HeadStart @ Kalyani Nagar, and Innovations too. So if you can be less finicky about cleanliness wrt the helpers aka mausies… you will be happy. Mrs Dogra’s number 9823017963.
As far as preparations is concerned, now-a-days all playschools teach more than required, so no worries there for you.
Good Luck. You can mail me for more queries.
