Phonetics:

1: A

When is alone in any word; it sounds like hindi alphabet       letter A is alone

For example:    Bat sounds like   hindi   bat

But whenever ‘A’  or  ‘E’   vowel comes after the alphabet ‘A’,  the sound changes to  the  hindi alphabet   letter A with vowel

for example:  Bate will now sound as bate

More examples:

With Only A                  With A and any other vowel

Cat                                   Cate

Pat                                    Pate

Chat                                 Chate

Lat                                     Late

Hat                                    Hate

Plat                                   Plate

Mat                                     Mate

Rat                                      Rate
