You can check the color, texture and shape of the nails to tell if all is well or not.

Pale Nails: 

  • Anemia
  • Congestive Heart Disease
  • Liver Disease
  • Malnutrition

White Nails:

  • Liver problem
  • Hepatitis
  • Jaundice

Yellow Nails:

  • Fungal Infection

Bluish Nails:

  • Lack of Oxygen
  • Pneumonia
  • COPD chronic obstructive disease

Pitted (tiny pin holes) or Rippled (wavy) Nails:

  • Early signs of inflammatory arthritis
  • Psoriasis

Vertical Ridged (raised lines) Nails:

  • Harmless
  • Ageing

Horizontal Ridged ( raised lines) Nails:

  • Previous health injury
  • Arsenic poisoning

Cracked or Split Nails:

Puffy skin around Nails:
