Phonetics:

1: E

When is alone in any word; ‘E’  sounds like hindi alphabet      letter E alone

For example:    BET  sounds like   hindi   bate with less time spent on B.

But whenever  ‘A’  or  ‘E’  vowel comes after the alphabet ‘E’,  the sound changes to  the  hindi alphabet   letter E with a vowel

for example:  Beet will now sound as  beet

More examples:

With Only E                  With E and any other vowel

Pet                                   Pete

Chet                                 Cheat

Let                                     Leat

Het                                    Heat

Plet                                   Pleat

Met                                     Meet
