A new Board for ITI Industrial Training Institutes

By Madhurie Singh, June 09, 2018

The Government is planning to form a new Board in the lines of CBSE and ICSE to assess and certify around 23 Lakh students passing out of the ITIs ie Industrial Training Institutes across the country.

This new certification will help students passing out of ITIs to pursue regular courses in other schools and colleges, as the certificates awarded to them will be equivalent to the ones given to Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) pass-outs. 🙂

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is hoping that it will be approved by the Cabinet.

I think this is a very welcome move for all the students and especially for India. We were ideally always skill based country for ages. If we ensure that skill development in our blue-collar career is given equal dignity like any white-collar career, we will soon eradicate the unemployment by a large percentage.
